Super Scout

Reed is enjoying his second year in Cub Scouts. February and March offered two of the prominent competitions for a scout: the father/son cake off and the pinewood derby.

This year Reed boasted a win in his category for the cake competition, which was a thrill (nevermind that there was only one other entry in his category). Here are father and son with their creation and a close-up of his winning entry in the zoo-themed competition:

Reed also worked hard on his entry for the pinewood derby. While his car lost both of his races, he was a good sport.

His troop also enjoyed some indoor rock climbing and bowling during these months, which our whole family joined in on. We're thankful for his great leader, the boys who make up this super troop, and the fun that Reed has with it.

I like the new pages! You certainly know who you are, friend. And you tell it well.
